Project 365....day 184

With the big 4th of July holiday, then having the husband home with us on Monday, this whole blogging thing kinda got away from me. If you follow me on facebook, you've noticed that I've been faithfully updating my pictures there, I've been failing epically on keeping this thing updated. (In actuality, I thought I had updated this.....then realized yesterday, when I went to add yesterday's photos, that I had not. Since I had erased the disk already and burned just yesterday's, and my portrait session from yesterday, and it was a billion degrees still at 11 pm, I decided to say f-it, and deal with it today, so here I am....my 365's from day 184; the 4th of July, are random, and varied, but (I think) lots of fun. Enjoy...

Saturday we had some storms....well, sort of. They were calling for tornado watches, of all things (!) in upstate NY! Because of that, though, the sky was a beautiful deep blue with bits of clouds.

Still playing catch up, but I'm getting closer to being caught-up! The thing is....I can't stay focused on any one job for too long before I get distracted like a goldfish and move off to something else....especially when the kids are pulling me in 300 different directions at once. With that in mind, here are my 365's for day 108; (which was April 18th)

Ok, so Wednesday got away from me a little bit....I took these pictures shortly after cocktails with my grandmother on Wednesday night, and by the time I got home, had dinner, and got my kids settled, I edited the pictures and then had no steam left. I was sure that work on Thursday would be fairly slow, but since I was the only one on, that wasn't the case (of course). SO...since I wasn't up to even uploading my pictures from my shoot Thursday (another portrait session, coming soon!), obviously I did not get my Wednesday pics up then. Since I've got tonight off, I had a chance to play catch up (so unusual for me to have to do, huh?).

Now that the ice is gone, the sky is free to reflect on the water at sunset! I am so glad spring is here!


This was the one brief moment that the sun broke free of the clouds before disappearing behind the mountains.

Project 365....day 80

So, here I am playing catch up after another busy weekend! Yesterday I got Friday and Saturday's pictures up, and now I'm here to back-to-back post Sunday and then Today's pictures! (Woah, right?) Anyway...yesterday I worked all day long, and to say it was slow would be a ginormous understatement. As it was, I got to sit in the sun, and hang out and play some darts, and generally have a really nice, relaxing Sunday with some of my favorite people! Then, it was off to grab my pictures for the day (in case the ones I took at work didn't work) I'm happy to report that there are pics from both the restaurant, AND the sunset yesterday! Here are my 365's for Sunday, day 80!

The View From Up Here...

Today I was lucky enough to have a BEAUTIFUL, wonderful day. The kids and I got to go out and play at the playground, and then my amazing, fabulous husband didn't even mind when I dropped he and the kids off at home and took an hour (or so) to go shoot some pictures. Tonight, just add the cherry to the proverbial sundae of the day, we had the most gorgeous sunset! Here are my favorite moments of tonight's shoot. I hope you all enjoy the 'view from up here'!

When I first stopped, I decided to climb the snowbank so that I could get some shots of the falling sun setting the trees on fire...

Project 365....day 32

For February, I was hoping to start off the month with an EPIC sunset...thankfully the photography gods were cooperating today! I made my way to Canada Lake once again, and though I think I've got frostbite, it was totally worth it considering the way these pictures turned out! Enjoy the 32nd day of my 365 photo journey! ♥

That was what Amelia told me when I got home from work last Saturday night and she woke up for 3 minutes JUST to say goodnight to me. ♥ I love her in too many different ways to count, and all of them are unique to her. The sunset she was speaking of was the one we were blessed with last Saturday night. I was on my way to work and happened to have my camera with me. The colors in the pictures do not really do justice to the way the sky looked that night...it was so beautiful.
