So, I've been SUPER busy with summer, and I've totally let this thing go. BIG fat apologies. Anyway, back to school, summer is about done, back to the grind. I am determined to catch up, so away we go!!
Day 229 included lots of summer fun. We spent the afternoon at my Momma's house, and I found a new friend by the pond...
For day 214 I took a ride, and wound up somewhere between Caroga Lake and Bleaker. (I know exactly where I ended up, but it sort of ruins the magic of it all, to my mind anyway) I stopped, initially, to capture a beautiful little stream, which I did, but the pics didn't turn out the way I imagined them, so those got scrapped. That's just how I roll.
Instead, I found a pretty little flower...
And an AH-MAZ-ING red dragon fly! (Yes, you read that correctly, this sucker was BRIGHT red!)
On day 208 my wonderful husband and I went out in the canoe again looking for an adventure....this time we started out near Good Luck Lake and moved up through the channels of the Sacandaga River. We found tons of beaver lodges, among other things.....like these amazing looking dragon flys!
This guy was the most intense colors.....emerald green and black!
For day 202, my amazing (tolerant) husband took me out in the canoe so I could get some fun pictures, and try my hand at photographing Lily pads again! Here are my (fantastic) results!!
I have done it!! I have made it 200 days (more than that now!) into my project here, and I am honestly pretty shocked that I've stuck to it this long....if nothing else, the last 165 days should be cake, right?! Ahem....without further adu, my 3.6.5 pictures for day 200!
For day 194 I took a little ride to visit my friend Mrs. Falcon. Her babies are getting bigger!! ♥ I actually got a peek at them this time, which, let me tell you, was a HUGE highlight of this amazing photo week. Here, for your viewing pleasure is 'The view from up here'
Mama Falcon.....
A quick glimpse of the babies....
Then a couple of other goodies I found right there on the side of Rt. 8!
Today is a big day!! A couple of weeks ago, I shot some eggs for my 365. (you can view them here) Well, those eggs have hatched! A few days ago, as a matter of fact. The first couple of days these little guys were so tiny, and had NO hair at all, and couldn't even lift their little heads! Now they're getting cute, and they lift their little heads up, as you'll see....
Then, there was some SERIOUS pool action; Amelia-mazing flying through the air!
Day 180 is another BIRTH-day!! This time for my little Toes! ♥ For his birthday, my little punk-rocker got some pretty badass drums!! Here are some highlights from his special day!
Day 175 was spent pool-side at my momma's house! ♥ I found a few little treasures to share with you here...soon-to-be birdies in a nest, and a beautiful bright summer flower.
Thursday found me with a few hours free to just go shoot until my heart was content, and after what I stumbled across, boy was I! I stopped near a bridge just outside of Speculator, NY to shoot the water. When I turned around and saw a huge nest on the telephone pole, I nearly fell over, but then when I saw the bird that lives in that nest, I actually stumbled. There, circling above that huge nest, was a Mama Falcon, and said nest contains a currently unknown number of babies!!! I will be going back in the next week or so to see if I can't sneak a peek at the little ones, but for now, here is the beautiful Mama Falcon, and if you look closely, you can see the fish she'd just caught for those little tiny babies!
Baby animals, especially! When I saw that this week at I ♥ faces the challenge would be "Babies", I was SUPER excited, and I began sifting through the TON of pictures I have of various stages of babyhood. It was tough, but I finally settled on these sweet little baby birds...
Ok, maybe not cute, but you must agree that they are babies in the truest sense of the word...these little birds are about 3 days old in this picture. My little humans and I have been watching since the momma and papa bird built their nest above the light on my mom's toy shed. Today, these little birds have all left the nest, but less than a month ago, they looked so fragile and teeny-tiny. To see more great 'baby' pictures, please click the camera below!
Follow me as I document the special moments that make life worth living! I love photographing children in their natural environment and local scenery. I am willing and able to do Custom Christmas cards, Birth Announcements, and Invitations upon request.
I'm a photographer, a mother, a daughter, sister and friend. I love a bottle of good red wine and more genres of music than I could possibly name. I live on coffee, and the smiles I get from my kids. Photography is a passion.... something I could not get through the day without....on par with music, which is necessary for life.
My perfect match in nearly every way, Bobbo is truly my best friend. I love hanging out with him as much today as I did nearly ten years ago, and I feel so blessed to have such an amazing partner in crime, and a wonderful father for my humans. That's right, ladies, I have scored. Truly. He cooks, he works on cars, he baths, diapers, and rocks babies. He is truly a gem.
The Little Humans
Miss Amazing
My sweet, curious blue-eyed first born. From an early age, I was convinced that she was a super-hero, and to this day she has never ceased to amaze me, both with her thoughtful nature, and her ability to see the beauty and the good in everything. Amelia-mazing is an incredibly wonderful big sister, and loves and defends her brother with a vengeance, and I adore the bond that they have; they are truly best friends.

Toes
My handsome, determined, sweet second born son. From day one, tiny-toes was the exact opposite of his sister in every way. He has taught me that there is always more than one way to do things, (and he is determined to find every one, let me tell you!) and that you can watch a single episode of scooby-doo every day, for all the t.v. time you're allowed each day for 2 weeks without losing your mind......if it's a really good episode.
