Ramblings (again)

Subtle changes in reality make time's passage meaningless in moments like this. Alone and afraid she turns in on herself, wrapping her arms like steel bands around her up-drawn knees.

A simple thing, really; a phone call, and an appointment kept, and things will go on as they always had...

Except it wouldn't.
Nothing would ever be the same again.

Days of living in fog; nights of laying sleepless and guilty, her mind moving a million miles an hour.

There is no understanding what can't be put into words.

Amazing, isn't it; how one moment can shape the rest of your life, even when on the outside, nothing has changed?

Ramblings (Inspired by a Neon Sunset)

From my spot in this seat, the horizon is electrified; neon colors in the distance promise every conveince possible.

Whores for your dollar, they will say whatever is required to keep you under their spell.

Hour after hour, cause and effect, want/take.

Instant gratification, friend.
Isn't that what you wanted?

No desire left unfulfilled; no challenge.
These days, who wants a challenge?

Wants have given way to must-have's.
Now, now, now!

"Violet, you're turning violet, Violet." I murmur, half to myself; a sad view of society. The woman on my left with the curlers in her hair looks at me like I'm the crazy one.

Something to say on Sunday...

So, I know, I completely suck. I haven't put a single picture up since Thursday. Never fear, I took them, I just have not had the energy to sit down and do anything with them. Hell, I'm still working on editing my Thursday session with "The Artist"; Ms. Roberts. In fact, that will most likely be the next post here in my blog; my portrait session with an amazing artist as she works hard on her newest series of paintings: "The truth will set you free" (Which will be showing in June at the amazing Tiffany Smith Gallery in Johnstown, NY) Ahem, anyway, I digress....I just basically wanted to make a little note here that I have not forgotten about any of my 365's, I'm just feeling lazy....weekends are tough for me to have the time for editing, but I figure if I only work at a real job 3 days a week, I should be allowed to slack here a little....right? Right. Glad we agree.

Monday Morning Mumbles...

((Beware, I am only about half awake at this moment, so I can't promise my ramblings will make sense))

I'm only half awake here as my little human's run amuck. They're still wound from all the Easter treats/candy yesterday, I think. I swear, yeterday they each consumed more candy than they've ever had in their whole lives! Our bunnies have officially been named now; Toes' is called Cherry, and Amelia-mazing's (MALE) bunny is called "Princess Lily Sparkles".

What a wonderful day.

I am shooting with a friends daughter today; it's looking like a beautiful day for it! The sun is starting to peek out and it's already getting warm(er) out there....so excited for this; Em is totally not your typical, ordinary girl; she's original and full of color and personality, and I can't wait to try to translate that to film. :)

I have no idea what I'm going to make for dinner later....I am torn on that; yesterday my Mother-In-Law made a 12 lb. ham for 5 people (2 of them being very small children), and now I have a foil-covered-ham-mountain in my fridge. Do we work on that, or try something else today; you know, since we just had ham yesterday?

My friend Shawna is in labor (I believe) as I speak, so I'm going to have a new little human to love on pretty soon! ♥ and you'd better believe I'm PSYCHED about it! This little one has been a long time coming, and I'm going to be taking her newborn pictures. Can. Not. Wait.

Happy Monday!
