Day 156 was a true artistic experience. I had the honor of helping my friend Ms. Sarah Roberts of the Someday Studio in Johnstown NY set up for her art show, and photograph the work. It is set to premier on Friday night! Here are a couple of sneak peeks...
Last Thursday I was fortunate enough to get to collaborate with my friend Ms. Roberts. She is an amazingly talented artist who's gearing up for a show in early June at the Tiffany Smith Gallery in Johnstown, NY. We had a great time catching up over coffee before heading off to her studio, where I got to see the magic in-progress! Here are the perfect bits from that shoot! (the Outdoor Portrait Session soon to come!)
Ladies and Gentlemen; the Amazing, talented, and all around super-cool chick; Ms. Sarah Roberts!
For her 'truth' series, Ms. Roberts asked for honest confessions that were offered by patrons from her previous shows...
My favorite piece from her 'the truth' series
The fabulous Ms. Roberts, hard at work!
A candid portrait of Ms. Roberts as she steps back to study her work.
A profile portrait of the artist at work.
One of my favorite captures; the paint brushes in her hair are perfect!
By this point, I like to think she forgot about the camera and was totally lost in the creation.
Last Thursday brought me the opportunity to shoot a wonderful old friend, and a fantastically talented artist; Ms. Sarah Roberts. She's preparing for a show in June, and I was lucky to get to capture not only her as she worked, but her pieces in a natural, mostly-candid environment.
As I said only moments ago in my last post, I'm horribly behind with these blog posts...I blame it on mommy brain. Somehow, after I managed to edit and get these all ready, I got them on a disk (because I have a whole separate computer for editing), and got them up on my facebook. Instead of blogging the days like I should, instead I said something along the lines of 'eh...I'll get them up tomorrow...', but alas, tomorrow came, and I erased the disk without thinking about it, so when I went to post these pictures from day 105 I found myself unable to do so w/o the 104th day of my 365 project. Finally, I got my act together, and am getting these pictures up for everyone's enjoyment.
Some bits and pieces laying around the fabulous Ms. Robert's studio!
My very favorite piece from Ms. Robert's upcoming show; "The truth will set you free."
Today was a VERY special day for me! My friends Jim and Shawna are expecting a new baby in early April, and today was our maternity shoot! I have known Jim since the beginning of time, and Shawn since mid-high school, so it was a real treat to photograph such wonderful old friends. While I was there, Jimmer showed me some AMAZING paintings done by a guest at his work...I hope you enjoy them as much as I do,and remember...
Follow me as I document the special moments that make life worth living! I love photographing children in their natural environment and local scenery. I am willing and able to do Custom Christmas cards, Birth Announcements, and Invitations upon request.
I'm a photographer, a mother, a daughter, sister and friend. I love a bottle of good red wine and more genres of music than I could possibly name. I live on coffee, and the smiles I get from my kids. Photography is a passion.... something I could not get through the day without....on par with music, which is necessary for life.
My perfect match in nearly every way, Bobbo is truly my best friend. I love hanging out with him as much today as I did nearly ten years ago, and I feel so blessed to have such an amazing partner in crime, and a wonderful father for my humans. That's right, ladies, I have scored. Truly. He cooks, he works on cars, he baths, diapers, and rocks babies. He is truly a gem.
The Little Humans
Miss Amazing
My sweet, curious blue-eyed first born. From an early age, I was convinced that she was a super-hero, and to this day she has never ceased to amaze me, both with her thoughtful nature, and her ability to see the beauty and the good in everything. Amelia-mazing is an incredibly wonderful big sister, and loves and defends her brother with a vengeance, and I adore the bond that they have; they are truly best friends.

Toes
My handsome, determined, sweet second born son. From day one, tiny-toes was the exact opposite of his sister in every way. He has taught me that there is always more than one way to do things, (and he is determined to find every one, let me tell you!) and that you can watch a single episode of scooby-doo every day, for all the t.v. time you're allowed each day for 2 weeks without losing your mind......if it's a really good episode.
