Ramblings (again)

Subtle changes in reality make time's passage meaningless in moments like this. Alone and afraid she turns in on herself, wrapping her arms like steel bands around her up-drawn knees.

A simple thing, really; a phone call, and an appointment kept, and things will go on as they always had...

Except it wouldn't.
Nothing would ever be the same again.

Days of living in fog; nights of laying sleepless and guilty, her mind moving a million miles an hour.

There is no understanding what can't be put into words.

Amazing, isn't it; how one moment can shape the rest of your life, even when on the outside, nothing has changed?

Ramblings (Inspired by a Neon Sunset)

From my spot in this seat, the horizon is electrified; neon colors in the distance promise every conveince possible.

Whores for your dollar, they will say whatever is required to keep you under their spell.

Hour after hour, cause and effect, want/take.

Instant gratification, friend.
Isn't that what you wanted?

No desire left unfulfilled; no challenge.
These days, who wants a challenge?

Wants have given way to must-have's.
Now, now, now!

"Violet, you're turning violet, Violet." I murmur, half to myself; a sad view of society. The woman on my left with the curlers in her hair looks at me like I'm the crazy one.
